HELLO

The two most exciting words in the English language?...
CREATIVE BRIEF. I have a passion for them and spend my life cracking them, on a continual quest for ideas that move people. I get as excited about doing things differently in the future as I have respect for what’s gone before.

In the past I've been an agency founder, partner, new business winner, creative strategist and originator, writer and art director, builder of teams, people driver and getter of stuff done. I've won, or been responsible for teams that have won over 150 industry awards. I have expertise in brand activation, experiential & events, advertising content, shopper marketing, DM, digital and social.

Throughout my career I’ve had a passion for two things:
1. Creating ideas that make things happen.
2. Creating environments where others, whatever career stage they’re at, whatever background they’re from, can flourish and do the same. Encouraging, structuring, corralling. I’ve worked with countless numbers of inspiring people, from those setting out with youthful optimism, to the seasoned brains of experienced professionals with far more talent than me in their areas of expertise.

To date I’ve worked in five agencies. Each one at different life stages of their development, giving me the broadest spectrum of experiences and the chance to work across many industry sectors and disciplines.

I have worked on local, national and international campaigns, sat on numerous awards judging panels and stood up for creative opinions by serving on industry bodies and committees. I‘ve worked on huge campaigns as part of single or multi-agency teams, and sometimes been the sole driver and implementer.

I am not always a big fan of BIG ideas. Bigness and complexity is not always better. It’s about simplicity and depth of engagement, not just scale and spend. How brands behave is as important as what they do. If I’ve learnt anything from the proliferation of media channels and opportunities over the last 10-15 years - it’s that the most successful and resonant ideas emanate from a core brand ethos and stay true to it from start to finish.

I'm now concentrating on doing what I love best. In my heart I’m a writer/art director, but I’m also an IDEA ADVENTURERHunting for great ideas and making them work.

WHAT DOES BEING AN IDEA ADVENTURER MEAN?
• Relentlessly searching
• Moving someone to do something
• Not just going the extra mile - going the extra f***ing marathon
• Plunging the depths of every lateral thought
• Taking research and preparation to every extreme
• Surprising. And delighting
• Never taking no for an answer
• Making things happen

If you'd like any help tracking some down, I'd love to hear from you.
